The manufacturer and their vendors, including Zappos, have known about this problem for years but as long as they keep selling to individuals like me and others who benefit from the great support they offer, there will obviously never be an earnest effort by the manufacturer to improve on the substandard material that continues to be used. As I've said for years, everyone I've recommended the Vionic slippers to can't understand why the Vionic bean counters don't realize that if they improved on the quality of the fabric they'd increase sales! For now, many I've referred to Vionic have stopped buying them because of the defective fabric. Considering the cost of these slippers this should not happen so quickly. Most pairs I've purchased are lucky to last 3 months without the fabric peeling off or splitting. However, all agree the fabric wears away or splits too quickly, regardless of the style slipper we buy. They are the only slippers that help my Plantar Facsiitis, in addition to offering the best support overall of any slipper I've owned.
